Back in 1987, I.M. Pei designed one of the world’s best pieces of corporate Architecture right here in Miami. Deservedly recognized as an Iconic Architect, he pulled out all the stops for this masterpiece, which rises 46 stories and adds a real dynamism to the Miami skyline. Photographed often, it has become a recognizable symbol of Miami and recently I’ve been paying closer attention to its form and function. Wrapped around the 13th floor is a beautifully carved interior/exterior space with fantastic views over Miami and which houses a restaurant that is open to the public. As a Miami Photographer its almost impossible NOT to shoot this building, and as an Architectural Photographer, its lighting offers up wonderful opportunities for shooting at dusk.
